For Visitors

National Sports Centre Vysočina Arena is primarily designed for hosting sporting events and, thanks to its layout, provides excellent conditions for year-round training in cross-country skiing and biathlon. The surroundings of the arena are interlaced with a network of singletracks for mountain biking. With its extensive outdoor environment, Vysočina Arena is an ideal setting for sports activities not only during the winter months but also throughout the summer season.
Vysočina Arena also features a Test Centre that is open to all visitors. Here you can rent various types of equipment—such as skis, bikes, or roller skis—and personally try out everything the arena has to offer. In addition, you can relax, enjoy refreshments, and take in the pleasant atmosphere.
Summer
The summer season in Vysočina Arena runs from April to October. Use of the tracks and stadium during public hours is free of charge. Entry to the stadium during the summer period is located at Grandstand D, where an information board with the latest updates is also available.
Winter
The winter season in Vysočina Arena runs from November to March. Use of the tracks and stadium during public hours is free of charge. Access to the stadium in winter is only possible via the underpass, with entry from the cabin area or the stadium. Information boards with current updates are also located here.

For running enthusiasts, we have prepared marked running trails in the surroundings of Vysočina Arena, ranging from 2 km to 13 km. The starting point is "U Buku", which you can reach via a marked path leading directly from the arena.
In winter, depending on snow conditions, a series of cross-country ski loops is prepared. The arena's trails are equipped with a network enabling technical snowmaking. Under ideal natural snow conditions, the trails connect directly to the groomed winter tourist routes of the Novoměstsko ski region.
Each year, Vysočina Arena hosts major international sporting events, such as the Biathlon World Cup, Cross-Country Skiing World Cup, and the Mountain Bike World Cup. Among the most significant events held here are the Biathlon World Championships in 2013 and 2024, and the Mountain Bike World Championships in 2016. In addition to world-class competitions, the arena also hosts major national events such as Kolo pro život, Stopa pro život, Czech Cups in biathlon and cross-country skiing, winter orienteering races, Czech Championships in biathlon and skiing, as well as international competitions including the IBU Cup, the Slavic Cup, the European Biathlon Championships, the European Canicross Championships, and others.
In summer, the roller-ski track with direct access to the shooting range, including a penalty loop, together with the asphalt stadium, offers excellent conditions for roller-ski training for both cross-country skiing and biathlon. The oval loop in the stadium measures 415 m and is also used for speed-skating training. The roller-ski network features five loops of varying lengths, from 1.1 km up to the longest loop of 3.3 km. The total length of all loops is 8.5 km, providing a range of difficulty levels.
