Lars Hegle Birkeland gives Norway 2nd gold

Lars Hegle Birkeland won sprint’s European title today and matched Olsbu’s victory in women’s. Lars Hegle was perfect in shooting and despite the fact that he was the 6th best on track has managed gold medal. 

Maxim Tsvetkov of Russia with 1 error and the 3rd best time on track has managed the silver loosing by 6.8″ to Birkeland.

 

Two athletes shared bronze medal : Andrejs Rastorguevs of Latvia with 2 errors (his 2nd medal in the European Championships since was the winner in 20km individual) and David Komatz of Austria who had clean shooting. In top 6 they have finished Benedikt Doll of Germany with 3 errors who lost the medal by 30″ and Michael Reiter of Austria with 2 errors.

 

Michal Krcmar of Czech Rep has finished 7th, Milanko Petrovic of Serbia has finished 8th and equally on 9th position Timofei Lapshin of Russia and Quentin Fillion Maillet of France.
