Qualification of Eliminator won by Halzer and Engen |

Qualification Round of XC Eliminator started the race program in Nové Město. Best qualification round rode Miha Halzer of Slovenien, second was Fabrice Mels followed by third Philip Buys. Fastest woman was Alexandra Engen followed by Kathrin Stirnemann and Ingrid Boe Jacobsen. |

Pražské schody exhibition won by Giger |

Swiss Fabian Giger won the exhibiton race on mountain bikes called Pražské schody ("Prague steps") Second was Czech rider Kristian Hynek and third place belonges to Michiel van der Heijden of the Netherlands. Olympic champion Jaroslav Kulhavy did not finish the race because of some mechanicals. The race was a prelude to this weekend's World Cup in Nové Město na Moravě. |

With courageous plan to finish within the top 3 enters the home event of the World Cup in Nove Město Ondřej Cink. Currently ranked as #6 of the World Cup standing, he wants to improve his result from last year. In his debut start in the elite category, he finished in Nové Město sixth. |

Even though she was born in the Czech Republic, she spends here a very little time. The less she is here, the more she likes coming back. Thirty-six year old Kateřina Nash is coming to Nové Město na Moravě to stand on the startline of the third MTB World Cup round. "I love coming back to Nové Město, for all Czech riders is just unbelievable to compete in such atmosphere," said Nash the last year. And here we go again, no matter that after last season she decided to quit her international cycling career! |
